​Exotic animal care generally takes a greater commitment compared to companion animals (dogs and cats).


Proper housing/environment, diet, and medical needs should all be considered when shopping for a new exotic pet. Make sure to do extensive research and talk to a veterinarian prior to adopting any new exotic pets.
